No. 7 Royal Botanic Gardens

The 36 hectares of Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens contain over 50,000 plants. Don’t try to see all of them as there is much more to do than that. Commence your exploration with a trip to the Visitor Centre. They will ensure you get the most from your time in the gardens. Entrance to the park is free.

The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) has a wonderful history of great sporting triumphs, drama and controversy. It hosted the first Ashes cricket test in 1877. The MCG has been used for many sporting and cultural events and is used regularly by Australian Football League (AFL). AFL was previously known as Victorian Football League or VFL. The highest ever recorded attendance was for the VFL/AFL Grand Final in 1970. 121,000 fans crammed into the MCG for the 1970 decider between Carlton and Collingwood.
